To: My Dear Jonathan Hannan, the boy that I used to Love.

You can remedy the past by making peace with it and with the people you can, reconciling with yourself.

It is like looking at yourself from the outside, analyzing yourself and asking: How do I look doing this and that? How do I look thinking this or that? Why do I have this thought right now? Why do I have this feeling?

The past only serves to learn from mistakes, accept them, and work on yourself, ask God for forgiveness, and be able to start a new path.

It is about working on oneself, being honest with God and with oneself, being at peace with God and with oneself. Filling oneself with God, with His Spirit, putting to death the old self that only destroys, filling oneself with the beautiful things that God gives us day by day through nature, through His promises. God gives peace; the more one works on nurturing their relationship with God. By working on oneself, on one's own honor and wisdom, the more clarity is gained.

Sometimes, we do not have what we desire, because it is the old self asking for its own sake, without knowing how to glorify God with what is yearned for, possessed, maintained, or managed.

Many voices, but only one matters. Sometimes we need to pull away from everyone and everything to hear His voice; then He speaks and one listens, then He speaks and brings life and light where there was once death and darkness.

Sometimes, a person is full and at the same time sunk in their own darkness, and it isn't until they hit rock bottom, and grow weary of everything, that they then wonder about what they previously considered important: What was the purpose? Why I did it? What for and why did I want this or that?

Did I think about how to glorify God in this and that? And if that were the purpose, we would know that then everything would have a good end.
